ANFA confirms AFC President’s Cup preparation

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the hosts of the AFC President’s Cup Group C Qualifiers, informed about the final preparations of the tournament amid a press meet on Monday. Interacting with the media, ANFA President Ganesh Thapa talked about the full preparations of the tournament. Also, ANFA statement reads, a budget of Rs. 5.4 millions has been allotted for the tournament. While, among the total allotted budget, 60,000 US dollar has been granted by AFC to Nepal and other cash incentives are likely to be collected from the tickets. The five-days running tournament is schedule to kick off from Wednesday at the Dashrath Stadium and Halchowk Stadium. The matches will be played under league format and two top teams will go through the final round. Along with NPC from Nepal, Taiwan Power Company from Taiwan, FC Balkan from Turkmenistan and WAPDA FC from Pakistan are pitted in Group ‘C’.
